Author Guidelines /Pedoman Penulisan

 

Nidhomul Haq: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam is published twice a year, peer-reviewed journal, and specializes in Islamic Education Management research and issue. The aim is to provide readers with a better understanding of Islamic education management and present developments through the publication of articles and research reports.

The journal invites scholars and experts working in all disciplines in the Islamic education. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in other journals. All submitted papers are subject to review by the editors, editorial board, and blind reviewers. Submissions that violate our guidelines on formatting or length will be rejected without review.

Articles should be written in American English / Indoensian / Arabic between approximately 4.000-7.000 words including text, all tables, and figures, notes, references, and appendices intended for publication. All submission must include approximately 150 words abstract and keywords. Nidhomul Haq: Jurnal Manjemen dan Pendidikan Islam accepts only electronic submissions to Online Journal System (OJS) by signing in Nidhomul Haq as an author in http://e-journal.ikhac.ac.id/   or should be sent in word to nidhomulhaq1@ikhac.ac.id.

All notes must appear in the footnotes as citations. All works cited must appear in the reference list at the end of the article. In matter the detail of guidelines used in this journal follows the Chicago Manual Style 17th Edition Full Note, such as below:

General Guideline/Pedoman Umum

 General Guideline

ü  The article has not been published in other journals or other places.

ü  The article should be written in English (United State of America English), Arabic or Indonesia with a formal style and structure.

ü  The article should be written in the word document (Microsoft Word), 1,5 space, 12pt Times New Roman, 4.000 to 7.000 words.

ü  The article is an original work of the author/s.

ü  The author/s have a responsibility to check thoroughly the accuracy of citation, grammar, table and figures before submission.

ü  The author/s have a responsibility to revise their article after receiving a review from the editorial boards.

ü  The author/s should register at the e-journal of Nidhomul Haq before submitting their paper and fill the form completely.

ü  The article should be submitted via online.

ü  The articles will be reviewed by Editorial Board.

Structure of the Article/Struktur dan Sistem Penulisan Artikel

Structure of the Article

Title

  • A Title should be clear, short and concise that depicts the main concern of the article.
  • A Title should contain the main variable or focus of the research.
  • A Title should be typed in the bold and capital letter.

Name of the author/s 

  • The author/s name should be typed below the title of the article without academic title
  • The author/s address (affiliation) should be typed below the name of the author/s
  • The author/s email address should be typed below the author/s address
  • If the author is more than one writer, it should be used a connecting word “and” not a symbol “&”

Abstract

  • The abstract is the summary of an article that consists of a background of the study, data collecting technique, data analysis method technique, research findings.
  • Abstract should be written in one paragraph, single space and in italic
  • Abstract should be in 125 words minimum and 150 words maximum
  • The word “abstract” should be typed in bold, capital letter and italic

Keywords

Keywords should be typed in italic

Introduction consists of background statement, research questions, theoretical framework, literature review.  

Hypothesis (optional) is a proposed explanation for a phenomenon as a tentative assumption made in order to draw out and test its logical or empirical consequences. It should be mention in a positive sentence.  

Method of Research consists of the technique of data collecting and data analysis, time and place of the research if the article based on the field research.  

Research Finding consists of the research findings, including description of the collected data, analysis of the data, and interpretation of the data using the relevant theory

The Conclusion is not merely a summary of the main topics covered or a re-statement of your research problem but a synthesis of key points and, if applicable, where you recommend new areas for future research.

The bibliography is a reading list that enriches the writing so that it remains listed authors with or without directly referenced in the text. Bibliography consequently load all the author's reading list compiled alphabetically,         

Technical Regulations of Writing

How to present table

  • The Table should be appeared to align text to the left.
  • To write the content of the table, it might use 10pt font Time New Roman.
  • Source of the table should be typed below the table, align text to the left, 10pt font Time New Roman.
  • A table should have not vertical align

How to present picture, graph, photo, and diagram

  •  Picture, graph, figure, photo, and diagram should be placed at the center.
  • Number and title should be typed above the picture, graph, figure, photo, and diagram.
  • The number and the word of the picture, graph, figure, photo and diagram should be typed in bold, 10pt Font Times New Roman and at the center, while title of them should be typed in normal (not bold)
  • Source of the picture, graph, figure, photo, and diagram should be typed below the table, align text to the left, 10pt font Time New Roman.
  • Picture, graph, figure, photo, and diagram should not be in colorful type (should be in white, black, or gray).

Writing of Reference

  • This journal requires the using footnotes of Chicago Manual Style 16th Edition Full note (without ibid or op.cit). A complete citation is needed for the first reference you make to any item (as with model footnote 1 below); a shortened cite (as with model footnote 2) can be used thereafter. .
  • Books are written first name and last name of the author/s, title of the reference in italic, editor or translator (optional), publication in parentheses contains place of publication: name of the publisher, year of publication, page number.

‘Abbas Mahjub, Usul al-Fikr al-Tarbawiy fi al-Islam, (Beirut: Dar al-Fikr, 1987), 35. (first citation).

Mahjub, Usul al-Fikr al-Tarbawiy... 41. (scond citation and beyond,etc)

  •  Chapter or other part of a book and/or it have editor and translator and consist of volumes, should be written first name and last name of the author/s, title of chapter in regular font in quote, title of the book in italic, editor or translator, publication in parentheses contains: place of publication: name of the publisher, year of publication, volume number, page number.

Note        : II: 35 means page 271 of the third volume 

  • Articles in the journal are written first name and last name of the author/s, title of article in regular font in quote, title of journal in italic, number, volume, year of publication and page number.

  • Newspaper/magazine written first name and last name of the author/s, title of article in regular font in quote, title of newspaper/magazine in italic, date publication and page number.

1 Hadi Eryanto, “Menyiapkan Jihad di Aceh”, Kompas, 18 March 2010, 10.

2 Eryanto, “Menyiapkan Jihad”, 7.

  • Article/paper presented at seminar/conference are written first name and last name of the author/s, title of paper in regular font in quote, title of seminar/conference in italic, date of performance and page number.

Example:

  • Dissertation/thesis/unpublished work are written: first name and last name of the author/s, title of the writing in italic, kind of the work and the name of the university/institution in parentheses, and page number.

D. Muhtada, Zakat and Peasant Empowerment: Case Study on Zakat Organizations in Yogyakarta, (Ph.D. diss, University Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta, 2005), 204.

  • All electronic or online paper comes from the internet is written same as the printed format by adding the website address/URL and date accessed at the end of a footnote in the first citation.

1 Philip B. Kurland and Ralph Lerner, eds., The Founders’ Constitution (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1987), 207, accessed 28.2.2010, http://press-pubs.uchicago.edu/ founders/.

  • Articles in journals that are indexed in the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) written by adding identity/the ID. If the article has not been indexed in DOI, the website address/URL is written.
  • Articles in journals that are indexed in the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) written by adding identity/the ID. If the article has not been indexed in DOI, the website address/URL is written.

Artikel di jurnal yang sudah terindeks di DOI (Digital Object Identifier) ditulis dengan menambahkan identitas/ID-nya. Bila artikel belum terindeks di DOI, maka ditulis alamat website/URL-nya.

  • Writing of Bibliography/ Penulisan Daftar Pustaka

Bibliography is written based on the Chicago Manual Style 16th Edition Fullnote same with footnotes as stated above but the author's name written reversed position, year of publication  and without page number. The reversed name is only for the first author. The bibliography comes from article in journal should be stated the page number of the range for the whole article. When the reference comes from electronic paper, it should be mentioned accessed date and website address/URL and only in the first citation.
