Abstract

Codification of the Qur'an has a long history. It is known that the Qur'an has been written since the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This is evidenced by the existence of the oldest manuscripts of the Qur'an that have been found. There is an opinion that the Qur'an that came to our hands has gone through several changes. Thus the question arises whether the Qur'an that comes to our hands today is authentic. To answer the question, the author tries to trace the history of the early writing. The method used in this research is qualitative which the main data source is literature. The results of this study conclude that the Qur'an has undergone several changes in terms of writing.
